From as early as I can remember my mom chose to look to plants and nature for healing and living. She didn’t go to the pharmacy or buy products with a list of synthetic ingredients a mile long. She taught us about living a healthy lifestyle and how nature is the best healer.

With that foundation, I recently discovered the amazing benefits of tallow for skincare. I saw dramatic improvements where I had breakouts and inflammation on my skin. I threw out all of my traditional over the counter skin care products when I realized what chemicals and synthetics were actually going on my skin versus what my skin needed.

On one of my visits home, my mom noticed how great my skin looked and asked what I had been using. When I told her beef tallow, she crinkled her nose and we laughed. It was a funny moment between us. She was determined to try the tallow herself, but felt the need to first create a recipe that included the help of some beneficial and aromatic essential oils.  After our family tested many batches, we landed on the recipe we use today. Out of that, finn and loo was born.
